JUDGMENT

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent Grama Panchayath, apart from perusing the record. Since the issue lies in a narrow compass, this Court proposes to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage itself.

2. Briefly stated, the petitioner, desirous of constructing a crusher unit, submitted Ext.P1 application to the respondent Grama Panchayath for building permit. Complaining that the Grama Panchayath has so far not considered the petitioner's application for building permit, it has filed the present writ petition.

3. The learned counsel for the respondent Grama Panchayath, on instructions, has submitted that the respondent Grama Panchayath is willing to consider the petitioner's application expeditiously.

No. 9887/2015 -2Be that as it may, in the facts and circumstances, having regard to the respective submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent Grama Panchayath, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, disposes of the writ petition with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's Ext.P1 application for grant of building permit in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
