JUDGMENT

1. Petitioners are all graduates in Ayurveda, having obtained their degree from the Calicut University and Kerala University. The certificates are produced as Exts.P1 to P1(d). Petitioners are aggrieved with the respondent University, having not granted a certificate of the course, Master of Pharmaceutical Science in Ayurveda, to which they were admitted in 1996.

2. Admittedly, the respondent University, was not able to obtain recognition from respondents 4 and 6. The University Grants Commission also has refused to consider the claim of affiliation, on the ground that, such a course is not prescribed by the UGC. The respondent University, hence discontinued the course. Petitioners are persons, who got themselves admitted and completed the course.

3. Petitioners, in the writ petition of the year 2004, seek a direction to

W.P.(C)No.23101 of 2004 -:2:- the first respondent to take steps to obtain recognition to the Master of Pharmaceutical Science course. At this point of time, nothing could be done, since the course itself has been discontinued. Writ petition is, hence, dismissed as infructuous. K. Vinod Chandran, Judge.
