JUDGMENT

The petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayers:

"i. Issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ order or direction, directing the 2nd respondent to grant renewal of Ext.P1 consent to the petitioner as applied vide Ext.P2.

ii. Issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ order or direction, directing the 2nd respondent to dispose off Ext.P2 application for the renewal of Ext.P1 consent submitted by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within 2 weeks.

iii. Issue such other appropriate writ order or direction that may be deemed to be just and equitable in the facts and circumstances of the case."

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already moved the 2nd respondent by filing Ext.P2 so as to have the grievance redressed and the prayer is to cause the same to be considered and disposed of within a reasonable time.

3. Heard the learned Standing Counsel for the Pollution Control Board as well.

W.P.C. No. 10739 of 2015 -24. In view of the limited nature of relief sought for, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P2 in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, at the earliest, at any rate, within 'one month' from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

The petitioner shall produce a copy of the judgment along with a copy of the writ petition before the 2nd respondent for further steps.

P.R. RAMACHANDRA MENON, JUDGE.
