J U D G M E N T

The petitioner approached this Court seeking a direction to the respondents to correct the entry of place of birth and change his address in the Passport. His application, Ext.P4 was returned directing the petitioner to obtain court order. Thereafter, the petitioner filed a writ petition, W.P.(C) No.11025 of 2013, which was closed by this Court stating that the place of issue of passport is Delhi and this Court cannot issue such directions.

The grievance of the petitioner is that now, he has shifted his residence with the jurisdiction of the 2nd respondent and is intending to apply for passport within the jurisdiction of the 2nd respondent.

In that view of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with the following directions :- (i) The petitioner shall make an application before the 2nd respondent for fresh passport showing the correct details of place of birth, address proof etc.

W.P.(C) No.11252 of 2015 -: 2 :- (ii) The petitioner shall also file an affidavit and produce documents to show variance of place of birth in the passport issued to him earlier.
