J U D G M E N T

The petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayers:

"a) issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction commanding the respondents to grant priority to the daughter of the petitioner for admission to class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ernakulam as per the guidelines and to admit the ward there. b) in the alternative issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction commanding the respondents to transfer the daughter of the petitioner from Kendriya Vidalaya No.1 at Naval base to the Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ernakulam before the academic year starts.

And c) issue such further writs, order or direction which this hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case"

Heard both the sides. Considering the limited extent of relief sought for, this Court does not find it necessary to go into the merit of the case. The writ petition is disposed of, directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on

WP(c). No.11611 of 2015 Ext.P3, at the earliest, at any rate, within 'one month' from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

The petitioner shall produce a copy of the judgment along with a copy of the writ petition before the 2nd respondent for further steps.
