---------------------------------- W.P. (C) No.11750 of 2015 (P) ---------------------------------- Dated this the 8th day of April, 2015.
JUDGMENT
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader, apart from perusing the record. Since the issue lies in a narrow compass, this Court proposes to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner, who has a plywood manufacturing unit, has initially obtained 'No Objection Certificate' on 17.08.2011 as is evident from Ext.P10. Later, it was renewed through Ext.P11. Now, for the year 2015 and 2016, the petitioner submitted Ext.P13 application for renewal to the 5th respondent. Ventilating his grievance that though the application was submitted more than six months ago, the 5th respondent has so far not considered the application, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has also remitted an amount of `2,00,000/-, which is required for obtaining NOC from the 5th
W.P.(C.) No. 11750/2015 -2respondent. According to him, no further permits or licences from other departments could be obtained, unless the 5th respondent issues the NOC, as has been sought through Ext.P13.
4. The learned Government Pleader has submitted that the 5th respondent will consider the petitioner's Ext.P13 application expeditiously.
In the facts and circumstances, having regard to the respective submissions of the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, disposes of the writ petition with a direction to the 5th respondent to consider the petitioner's Ext.P13 application in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
