J U D G M E N T

The petitioner is the retired employee of the Kerala Agricultural University. He retired from service on 12/09/2013. He has approached this Court with the following reliefs:

"i) Issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writs directions or Orders commanding the 2nd respondent to disburse pension benefits authorised and sanctioned as per Ext.P1, and Ext.P2 with the arrears of surrender of leave salary, amounting to Rs.33,13,219/- (Thirty three lakhs thirteen thousand two houndred and nineteen) with 12% interest thereon from 12/09/2013 till date of actual payment.

ii) Issue such other writ or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.

iii) Award the costs of the petitioner of these proceedings."

In fact, this Court disposed of W.P.(C). No.10214/2015 today, directing the University to follow seniority in retirement for the purpose of disbursal of the terminal benefits.
