J U D G M E N T

Shaji P. Chaly, J.

This writ petition is filed seeking the following reliefs :- "(i) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any such other writ, direction or orders commanding the 2nd respondent and the officers attached to the station not to harass the petitioner any further;

(ii) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any such other writ, direction or orders commanding the 2nd respondent and the officers attached to the station not to coerce, intimidate or harass the petitioner to effect payments to the customers; (iii) Issue any such other writ, appropriate order or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deems fit and proper considering the facts and circumstances of the case."

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned State Attorney.

The complaint of the petitioner is that the police is unnecessarily harassing the petitioner to effect payments to customers. It is submitted that the police authorities have no manner of right to interfere with such matters, which are purely contractual in nature.

Learned State Attorney on instructions would submit that earlier a complaint was received with regard to dishonour of

W.P.(C) No.12082 of 2015 -: 2 :- a cheque issued by the petitioner and thereafter the complaint was settled and the subject matter was closed. It is submitted that at present there is no complaint.
