J U D G M E N T

The petitioners have approached this Court with the following prayers:

"A) To issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate direction commanding the second respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P1 after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within a time frame to be fixed by this Honourable Court.

B) To direct the respondents not to disturb the possession of the petitioners in respect of the land/property included in Sy No.649/2 and Sy No.649/3 of Kottamkara Village, Kollam District pending consideration of Ext.P1. C) To direct the respondents not to issue any pattas in respect of the lands belonging to the petitioners in Sy No.649/2 and Sy No.649/3 of Kottamkara Village pending consideration of Ext.P1.

D) Any other relief which this Honourable Court deems fit in the facts and circumstances of the case."

Heard the learned Government Pleader as well. 3.

Considering the limited extent of relief sought for, this Court does not find it necessary to go into the merit of the case. The writ petition is disposed of, directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P1, in accordance

WP(c). No.12292 of 2015 with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to one of the petitioners in a representative capacity and other interested parties, if any. It shall be done, at the earliest, at any rate, within 'two months' from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. The petitioners shall produce a copy of the judgment along with a copy of the writ petition before the 4th respondent for further steps.
