J U D G M E N T
The petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayers:
"a) issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ, order or direction commanding the respondent to accept the basic tax from the petitioner in respect of the property covered by Exhibits P1 and P2 and effect mutation in the revenue records forthwith;
b) issue such other writ, order or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case."
2. The petitioner is the owner of property covered by Exts.P1 and P2 sale deeds. The grievance of the petitioner is that when he approached the respondent Village officer for remitting basic tax and also for effecting mutation, the same was refused to be acted upon. Hence this writ petition.
3. When the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the grievance of
W.P.(C)No. 12423 OF 2015 the petitioner has already been projected by way of Ext.P4 and that the only relief sought for is to cause the same to be considered and disposed of within a reasonable time.
4. Heard the learned Government Pleader as well.
5. Considering the limited nature of relief sought for, this Court does not find it necessary to go into the merits of the case. The writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent/Village officer to consider and dispose of Ext.P4 at the earliest, at any rate, within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment. The petitioner shall produce a copy of the judgment along with a copy of the writ petition before the respondent/Village Officer for further steps. P.R.RAMACHANDRA MENON JUDGE lk
