J U D G M E N T

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition contending that, the petitioner's daughter, who is a "single girl child" was denied admission to the first standard in the schools carried on by the Kendriya Vidhyalaya Sanghathan in Ernakulam. The contention is that, the petitioner's daughter being a single girl child has certain preferences, which has been declared by the Government; in violation of which, the Kendriya Vidhyalaya Sanghathan has carried on the admissions within the district of Ernakulam in the various schools.

2. The respondent Sanghathan has filed a detailed counter affidavit, in which seats reserved with respect to admission to Class-I under the 'single girl child' category has been specifically indicated in each of the schools within the

W.P.(C) No.12677 of 2015 - H Ernakulam District. The petitioner admittedly belongs to category V and the petitioner's child was not granted an admission under that category, since there were single girl children in the higher categories, who were granted admission to the reserved seats for 'single girl child'.

In such circumstance, the petitioner has no sustainable grievance and the writ petition would stand dismissed.
