JUDGMENT
The petitioner is holder of gun licence. He applied for renewal of the same.
2. In view of the pendency of renewal applications produced as Exts.P1 and P2, there shall be a direction to the concerned respondent to consider the same, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of two months. The learned counsel for the petitioner relies on the judgment of this Court reported in Muhammed Shafi v District Collector (2012(1) KLT
427) and Chandran Nair v Additional District Magistrate (2015
(1) KLT 41). Petitioner shall produce a copy of the aforesaid judgment for compliance. If any renewal is granted, the same shall be only with effect from the date of grant of renewal and not from the date of expiry.
