JUDGMENT

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned State Attorney.
2. This writ petition has been filed alleging police harassment against 3rd and 4th respondent. Petitioner's case is that a crime has been registered against one Santhosh Kumar, the first accused and second accused is the father of the first accused, who allegedly have cheated nearly 800 depositors who had deposited crores of rupees in the company owned by them. Petitioner, being a relative of second accused, has been called by the police on several occasions to know the whereabouts of the accused. Petitioner submits that she is not involved in the offence. A crime has already been registered, being Crime No.660/14 under Section 420 and 471 Cr.P.C, which is under investigation. It has been further stated that the investigation has been transferred to some Special Agency which is investigating the matter.

3. The petitioner having been called in connection with the investigation which cannot be termed as any harassment of the petitioner. There are no materials on record on the basis of which we can come to the conclusion that petitioner is being harassed. We only observe that the investigation shall be carried out in accordance with the procedure prescribed in the Code of Criminal Procedure.
With the above observation, the Writ Petition is closed. Ashok Bhushan, Chief Justice.
