Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader appearing for respondent Nos.1 to 5 and

7. No notice is being issued to respondent No.6 in view of the order which is being passed.

2. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking police protection. The grievance of the petitioner is that the 6th respondent, who earlier was an active politician, was posted as Sub Inspector of Police. The allegation is that, at his instance, cases were registered against the petitioner and a rival faction has supported the 6th respondent. He submitted that a report has been submitted by Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Special Branch, Thrissur Rural, to the District Police Chief where also it was recommended that certain police protection be given to the petitioner.

3. Learned Government Pleader submits that so far as 5th respondent is concerned, no action has been taken by 6th respondent against the petitioner so far. It is further submitted that the report dated 22.12.2014 is under consideration of the District Police Chief, Thrissur Rural.

In the facts of the present case especially when the report has been sent, we are of the view that the District Police Chief may look into the report and take such appropriate action as required by law. With the above observation the Writ Petition is disposed of.
