JUDGMENT
The petitioners who are not permitted to take the fourth semester engineering examinations by the respondent university on account of the shortage of attendance have come up before this Court with this writ petition.
2. This Court by interim order dated 8.5.2015 directed that the petitioners be permitted to participate in the examinations of Semester No.IV of B.Tech degree course in civil engineering commencing from 12.5.2015 subject to further orders of this Court.. Today when the matter came up, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that on the basis of the interim order, the petitioners took the examinations.
3. As the only question remaining is whether the petitioners are entitled to the condonation of shortage of attendance, the writ
WP(C)13854/15 -:2:- petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to forward the application to the respondent university for condonation of the shortage of attendance of the petitioners. On receipt of the same, the respondent university shall consider whether the petitioners are eligible for condonation of shortage, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. It shall be open to the petitioners to produce a copy of the writ petition and copy of the judgment before the first respondent at the earliest for speedy action.
