J U D G M E N T

The dispute relates to the pole rental demanded from the petitioner. That was on account of television cable being drawn along the electric posts. Disputes of such nature are to be resolved by the Chief Engineer concerned. The petitioner has a case that portion of the liability has to be shouldered by M/s.ASIANET.

2. Any motion made by the petitioner with the Chief Engineer within one month from today shall be dealt with within two months therefrom. Needless to say that the petitioner as well as M/s.ASIANET shall be put on notice and heard in the exercise.

3. The coercive steps pursuant to Ext.P1 notice shall be put on hold in the meanwhile. This is subject to the condition that the petitioner remits one-half of the amount demanded thereunder within one month.

The Writ Petition is disposed of.
