The petitioner, who is presently working as Overseer GradeIII in the Kerala Water Authority, is aggrieved by the steps taken by the respondent Water Authority to effect promotion to the post of Overseer Grade-II by ignoring the seniority of the petitioner. Highlighting his grievance, he has preferred Ext.P1 representation before the 1st respondent and the limited prayer in the writ petition is for a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P1 representation within a time frame.
2. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as also the learned Standing counsel for the respondent Water Authority. On a consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case as also the submissions made across the bar, I dispose the writ petition with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P1 representation within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after hearing the petitioner.
