2.
By this writ petition, petitioner, alleging police harassment, has prayed for a direction commanding respondents not to harass the petitioner on account of Crime No.366/11 of Kasaba Police Station, Palakkad. Petitioner's son is accused No.1 in the said crime. Petitioner's case is that he has been asked by police authorities to give the details of other accused on which the petitioner shall be exonerated.
3.
Learned Government Pleader after obtaining instructions submitted that petitioner was called to the Police Station in January, 2015 in connection with the investigation of Crime, but he could appear only on 31st of January, 2015 and thereafter walked away before recording his statement. It is
W.P (C) No. 14988/15 -:2:- submitted that petitioner's presence is required only for the purpose of investigation and there is no kind of harassment by the police officials.
4.
Admittedly, crime has been registered in which the petitioner's son is also accused. We do not find any good ground to accept the petitioner's case that there is any harassment. In the investigation, petitioner has to co-operate. We would only observe that police shall carry out the investigation in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Writ petition is closed.
