JUDGMENT
The limited prayer in this writ petition is only for a direction to the respondent to consider Ext.P1 application.
2. According to the petitioner, he has submitted Ext.P1 application for regular permit on the route between Erumely and Kottaramattom Bus stand (Pala). After necessary enquiry through the field officers, the Regional Transport Authority, Kottayam considered the application in its meeting held on 14.5.2015 as item No.5. There was absolutely no valid objection from any source and the route passes through interior and ill served area where there are no sufficient travelling facilities; so submitted the learned counsel for the petitioner. The decision of the Regional Transport Authority is awaited and it would take time for the issuance of regular permit. In view of the urgent requirement of the operation of service on this route, especially, during this time of re-opening of school and colleges as well as admission season to various educational institutions which co-exist with regular need,
WPC No.15172/2015 2 the petitioner submitted Ext.P1 application for grant of four months temporary permit enabling to operate on the above said route, but the respondent has not considered his application so far. It is with this background, the petitioner has come up before this Court.
I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.
Considering the nature of prayer and submission, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P1 application, after affording the petitioner an opportunity of being heard. This exercise shall be completed within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
To facilitate an early action, it shall be open to the petitioner to produce a copy of this judgment as well as a copy of the writ petition before the respondent. sd/- A.V.RAMAKRISHNA PILLAI JUDGE css/
