JUDGMENT

Petitioners challenge the proceedings initiated under the Central Revenue Recovery Act. The petitioners want to challenge the assessment and penalty orders before the Appellate Authority. The petitioners seek direction to the first respondent to issue certified copy of the order and also suspend coercive steps against them till they exhaust alternative remedy.

2.

Learned Government Pleader submits that the assessment order has been served on the second petitioner on 8.12.2014. However, penalty order was served on 10.1.2015.

3.

Learned counsel for the petitioners refutes the above submission and submits that no order has been served on him. In view of the pendency of the application for certified copy, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to issue certified copy to the petitioners within a period of two weeks. In view of the above relief, all coercive steps against the petitioners shall be kept in abeyance for a period of two months.

The writ petition is disposed of as above.
