Aggrieved by the delay in disposing of Ext.P1 temporary permit application, the petitioner has come up before this Court.

2.

The petitioner alleges that the stage carriage route, Thalassery - Mudappathoor was served with the vehicle bearing Reg.No.KL58/A 414 and that the permit permit holder abandoned the route and nobody else is operating on that route now. He further alleges that the travelling public, who were enjoying the facility, is deprived of the facility. The petitioner applied for grant of four months temporary permit in its place by offering an idle vehicle bearing Reg.No.KL 13/M 124 vide Ext.P1. According to the petitioner, urgent orders are to be passed on Ext.P1. According to the petitioner, there is no objectionable overlapping of any scheme of violation of KSRTC. It is in this context, the petitioner has come up

before this Court.

3.

I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader. 4.

The learned counsel for the petitioner confined his argument to the limited prayer for a direction to the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P1 within a time frame.

Considering the nature of the submission, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P1 after affording the petitioner and affected parties, if any, an opportunity of being heard, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

To facilitate an early action, the petitioner shall be at liberty to produce a copy of this judgment as well as a copy of this writ petition before the respondent municipality at the earliest.
