JUDGMENT

Aggrieved by the rejection of Ext.P2 application for duplicate registration certificate by the second respondent, the petitioner has come up before this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.

3. The learned Government Pleader on instructions submitted that the rejection of Ext.P2 application was on account of the non production of police report which is mandatory for the issuance of duplicate certificate.

Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of permitting the petitioner to submit the police report in support of his claim before the respondent at the earliest and the in the event of producing such certificate, the duplicate registration certificate shall be issued by the respondents within a period of two weeks thereafter.
