The petitioner was admitted for B.Sc. Hospitality and Hotel Administration in the academic year 2009. He has completed his 4th semester. For semesters 1 to 4, there were altogether 19 papers; and for the 1st semester, the petitioner cleared all subjects except the paper, Accountancy. His admission to 5th semester has been denied stating that he has to clear all the papers in the 1st semester. According to the petitioner, that condition is not stipulated in the prospectus issued in 2010 and the rule was amended only in 2011.
2.
This Court, by interim order dated 22.08.2012, granted an interim direction as prayed for, permitting the petitioner to attend classes of 5th semester B.Sc.
Hospitality and Hotel Administration and to appear for the examination, which would be subject to further orders to be passed in the writ petition.
W.P.(C) No. 20238 of 2012 ..2..
As the very purpose sought to be achieved by the filing of the writ petition has been served by the interim order already passed, the writ petition is closed without examining the merits.
