JUDGMENT

The petitioners, who are Principals of various Higher Secondary Schools, are aggrieved by the anomaly, that arose consequent to pay fixation, whereby their juniors in the category of HSST (Selection Grade) are given higher scale of pay, than what is being given to them. In connection with the said grievance, petitioners have preferred Ext.P4 representation before the 2nd respondent and the limited prayer in the writ petition is for a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P4 representation within a specified time frame. 2.

I have heard the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioners and also learned Government Pleader for the respondents.

On a consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made across the bar, I dispose the writ petition with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P4 representation, as expeditiously as possible, and at any rate within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after hearing the petitioners. sd/- A.K.JAYASANKARAN NAMBIAR JUDGE das
