JUDGMENT

Ashok Bhushan, C.J.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader.

2. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for police protection. Petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to afford police protection to the petitioner and her parents against the illegal acts and obstructions caused by the 2nd respondent. Petitioner's case is that the 2nd respondent obtained certain signatures of the petitioner and ultimately the 2nd respondent claims that petitioner is his wife and a marriage certificate has also been produced. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has already approached the Family Court alleging that she never agreed for any marriage with the 2nd respondent.

3. Be that as it may, we do not find any such action on which any direction for police protection can be issued. In

WP(C) No. 17459 of 2015 -:2:- the complaint petitioner has alleged threatening by the 2nd respondent. But there are no allegations of such offence on which any direction for police protection can be issued. We only observe that in any event if any offence is committed or there is any attempt to commit offence, it is always open for the petitioner to file a complaint before the police authorities and the police authorities may look into the same and take appropriate action. The Writ Petition is closed. Ashok Bhushan, Chief Justice.

A.M. Shaffique, Judge.
