JUDGMENT

Aggrieved by the delay in taking immediate and effective steps in considering Exts. P3 and P5, the petitioners have approached before this Court.

2.

The first petitioner is a registered Association and petitioners 2 and 3 are operating stage carriage between Thrissur and Kunnamkulam. The petitioners allege that the distance between Thrissur and Kunnamkulam is 24 Kms. and the timings issued by the Regional Transport Authority in respect of the above sector is 60 minutes which is in consonance with the Rules and Notifications. However, most of the services which are operating between Thrissur and Kunnamkulam are conducting the trips within 50 minutes creating clash of timings with services which are coming from other destinations as well as from interior areas. Hence, they filed Exts.P3 and P5 complaints before the respondents. But

W.P.(C) No. 18048 of 2015 -2there is inordinate delay on the part of the respondents in taking effective steps for regulating the services. 2.

I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader in the matter. Considering the nature of the submissions, the writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Exts. P3 and P5, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. To facilitate an early action, it shall be open to the petitioner to produce a copy of the writ petition as well as the copy of this judgment before the first respondent at the earliest.
