JUDGMENT

The petitioner seeks a direction to the third respondent to consider Exts.P3 and P4 applications within a time frame. 2.

The petitioner is the proprietor of a firm by name Vijayalekshmi Engineering Works. The petitioner alleges that on account of the increase in the nature of activity of the unit, two more permanent workers of the unit submitted applications for registration as Headload Workers under 26A of the Kerala Headload Workers Rules, 1981. Though the applications were accepted as early as on 1.1.2014, the competent authority has not passed final orders on the applications submitted by the permanent workers. It is with this background, the petitioner has come up before this Court. 3.

I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader in the matter. 4.

The learned counsel for the petitioner confined his

W.P.(C) No. 18188 of 2015 -2argument to the limited prayer for a direction to the third respondent to consider Exts.P3 and P4 applications. Considering the nature of the submissions, this Court is of the view that the writ petition can be disposed of, even without issuing notice to the respondents.

Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of directing the third respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Exts. P3 and P4 applications, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. To facilitate an early action, it shall be open to the petitioner to produce a copy of the writ petition as well as the copy of this judgment before the third respondent at the earliest. Sd/- A.V.
