J U D G M E N T
The petitioners are in possession of 10 cents of land comprised in Sy.No.366/6 of Tirurangadi Village in Malappuram District. The petitioners filed Ext.P3 application dated 14.12.2012 before the revenue authorities for granting lease of a plot in their favour, for the purpose of beneficial enjoyment of their property. The application was rejected by the 3rd respondent by Ext.P4, against which the petitioners filed Ext.P5 appeal under Rule 21(1) of the Kerala Land Assignment Rules 1964 before the 1st respondent, the Land Revenue Commissioner.
2. The petitioners approached this Court aggrieved by the non-consideration of Ext.P5 appeal. The appeal is seen filed on 21.05.2015. In such circumstance, the 1st respondent will have
W.P.(C) No.18253 of 2015 - F to look at the appeal pending before it and however looking at the pendency of such applications before it, taking up for disposal those applications filed earlier in point of time first. The appeal shall be considered as expeditiously as possible. However, it is made clear that 'status quo' shall be maintained during the pendency of the appeal and then the matter shall be governed by the orders passed in appeal.
Writ petition is disposed of.
