J U D G M E N T

Seeking temporary permit under Section 87(1)(d) of the Motor Vehicles Act to continue the service as limited stop ordinary service, the petitioner has come up before this Court.

The petitioner is a regular permit holder on the route between Thulappilly and Ernakulam in respect of stage carriage bearing Reg.No.KL-17/K 5796, which is valid till 21.06.2015. As his application for renewal is pending consideration, the petitioner has applied for temporary permit under Section 87(1)(d) of the Motor Vehicles Act. The petitioner's grievance is that the respondent, who is statutorily bound to issue temporary permit, has not considered the same till date. Hence, this writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner

W.P.(C) No. 18369 of 2015 ..2..

and the learned Government Pleader in the matter. Considering the nature of the prayer, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P3 application submitted by the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

To facilitate an early action, the petitioner shall be at liberty to produce a copy of this judgment as well as a copy of this writ petition judgment before the respondent at the earliest.
