=================== W.P.(C).No.18438 of 2015 ==================== Dated this the 7th day of September, 2015

J U D G M E N T

It seems that a member of a Scheduled Caste was allegedly ridiculed by calling his Caste name in public view. Apart from that he was financially ruined by not making payments due to him, for the works done, which also will constitute an offence under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

2. The petitioner shall file a specific complaint before the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pathanamthitta so that he shall conduct an investigation in the matter properly. The fact that A3 and A4, who have allegedly committed such atrocities, are abroad will not stand in the way of the Police in

W.P.(C).No.18438 of 2015 registering a crime against them. On getting such a proper complaint specifically showing the instances wherein such atrocities were committed, the Police shall register a crime and investigate in the matter.

With the said directions, this Writ Petition (Civil) is closed.
