J U D G M E N T

The petitioner's vehicle was seized on 09.06.2015 by the 1st respondent alleging an offence under the Kerala Protection of River Banks and Regulation of Removal of Sand Act, 2001 (for brevity, 'Sand Act'). A crime has also been registered as Crime No.926/ 2015 of Tirur Police Station before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, Tirur. The petitioner's grievance is insofar as the vehicle having not been handed over custody to the Court so as to enable the petitioner to seek for interim custody.

2. In such circumstance, the 1st respondent / the Sub Inspector of Police is directed to produce the vehicle before the

W.P.(C) No.18492 of 2015 - J Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, Tirur within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this judgment.

The writ petition is disposed of.
