JUDGMENT
The limited prayer in this writ petition is for a direction to the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P1 request, which was submitted by the petitioner for revision of own timings within a time frame.
2. The petitioner is conducting a regular stage carriage service on the route Kadakkassery - Parappanangadi in respect of stage carriage bearing Reg.No.KL-10-K-7491. After the issue of timings to the petitioner's service, a large number of services were introduced on the sectors of the route and some of the services have surrendered their permits. Therefore, the petitioner has submitted Ext.P1 request for revision of his own timings suggesting clear gap timings with other services and without changing the existing running time. But the respondent has not so far taken any action to consider Ext.P1 request on its merits. If there is any delay
W.P.(C).No.18682 of 2015 in considering Ext.P1 request, the timings proposed by the petitioner would be taken by others and thereby the petitioner would be put to difficulties. This writ petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider and dispose of Ext.P1 request within a reasonable time limit.
3.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader in the matter.
Considering the nature of the prayer, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P1, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
To facilitate an early action, the petitioner shall be at liberty to produce a copy of this judgment as well as a copy of this writ petition before the respondent at the earliest.
