J U D G M E N T
Seeking a direction to the respondent to consider Ext.P3 application submitted by the petitioner for issue of temporary permit, the petitioner has come up before this Court.

The petitioner had been issued with a regular permit on the route between Pukkattupady and Fort Kochi in respect of a 2005 model vehicle with a seating capacity of 31 in all. The petitioner alleges that he was dispossessed of the above vehicle and he could not apply for renewal of the permit within the time prescribed. Now, he purchased a 2007 model vehicle with a seating capacity of 33 in all and filed separate applications for renewal of permit and replacement of vehicle. As the route has fallen vacant and the proposed incoming vehicle is not covered by any permit, he submitted Ext.P3

application for temporary permit, which has not been considered so far. It is in this context, the petitioner has come up before this Court.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader in the matter. Considering the nature of the prayer, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P3 in the light of Ext.P4 judgment within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. To facilitate an early action, the petitioner shall be at liberty to produce a copy of this judgment as well as a copy of this writ petition and a copy of Ext.P4 judgment before the respondent at the earliest.
