JUDGMENT
The petitioner has come up before this Court alleging inordinate delay in valuating the answer paper of the petitioner by the respondent university.
2.
The petitioner completed her B.Tech course in Computer Science and Engineering during the academic year 2010-2014 from M.G.
College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, which is affiliated to the first respondent University. The petitioner alleges that she failed in Analysis and Design of Algorithm paper. Except this paper, the petitioner passed all the other papers for the above said course. The petitioner appeared for the supplementary exam of the above said paper on 20.4.2015. Now, she has got an opportunity to go abroad. However, it is informed that, for the confirmation of appointment, Degree Certificate duly attested by Indian Embassy has to be produced before 20.7.2015.
-2However, the petitioner was surprised to hear from the respondents that till this period the valuation has not yet been started. If this be the situation, there is no chance to get the mark list of the above said exam before 20.7.2015; it is alleged.
3.
I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent university in the matter.
4.
The learned Standing Counsel on instructions submitted that the valuation could be completed by last week of September.
5.
The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is intending to go abroad and she has to submit the mark list of the examination before the proposed employer by the end of July.
However, as it is not possible to complete the valuation process within the stipulated time, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent university to expedite the valuation
-3process and complete the same within the time schedule as submitted by the learned standing counsel and after the process of valuation, on an application submitted by the petitioner, the respondent university shall issue confidential mark list of the petitioner so that he can produce the same before the proposed employer.
