J U D G M E N T

Shaffique, J.

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking police protection. It is contended that there was some dispute with the 5th respondent, who is the neighbour, who committed certain acts of violence against the petitioner on 2.3.2015. A crime has been registered by the police as Crime No.227 of 2015 and the matter has been charge sheeted. However, threats of the 5th respondent continues. The petitioner submits that the 5th respondent is having political clout and influence in the Police Department and the petitioner being a widow, who is staying alone, apprehends threat from the 5th respondent. Hence, complaint was given to the police for rendering necessary protection. Since no action had been taken by the police, this writ petition is filed. 2.

Learned Government Pleader on instructions would submit that after the incident which happened on 2.3.2015, no untoward incident had been reported. As far as the said incident, the police had already enquired into the matter and is keeping a constant vigil on the activities of the 5th respondent. If there is any

We record the aforesaid submission made by the learned Government Pleader and close the writ petition. It shall be open for the petitioner to file a complaint, if there is any offence committed or attempt to commit offence, which shall be looked into by the police and the needful be done.
