JUDGMENT

The petitioners have approached this Court for a direction to the respondent university to expedite the revaluation result of the 2nd semester examinations taken by the petitioners.

2. The petitioners are students of M.A(Malayalam) in U.C College, Aluva. They are now under the preparation of their 4th semester. They have done their 3rd semester very well and expecting high marks. In the 2nd semester though they expected high marks in all subjects, when the result was published, it was seen that in some subjects they could not score the required marks. Immediately, they applied for revaluation. Even after a lapse of two months, the result is not published. For want of revaluation result in time, they have to undergo severe problems like appearance of supplementary examination and they would be obstructed from applying for the

WP(C)19809/15 -:2:- M.Phil course during this year. The petitioners allege that the publication of the notification calling for application for the higher course is forthcoming. Therefore, according to them, in the absence of revaluation result they would not be able to apply for such sources during this year. Though they submitted representations, it could not evoke any positive response. It is with this background, the petitioners have come up before this Court.

3. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel for the respondent university.

4. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned standing counsel for the respondent university submitted that the last date of receipt of the application for revaluation by the concerned centres was 8.6.2015. Therefore, the learned standing counsel would submit that the university requires further time of 60 days to complete the process. Recording the same submission, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent university to complete the
