J U D G M E N T

Ashok Bhushan, CJ Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging police harassment. Petitioner's case is that she, a 29 year old mother of a 31⁄2 year old girl child, is residing at Ernakulam. It is further submitted that petitioner's relationship with her husband, who is employed in Gujarat, has been strained. Petitioner's allegation is that she is detained in her parental house by the 2nd respondent, her father. It is submitted that at the instance of police authorities, pressure is being put on the petitioner to go back to her parental house. 3.

The learned Government Pleader, after obtaining instructions, would submit that a complaint has been received from the 2nd respondent alleging that the petitioner is missing along with her child. In that connection, petitioner was called and asked to give a statement. It is stated that there is no kind of any harassment at the instance of the police and the police

W.P.C.No.19840/2015 is only interested to hear from the petitioner about her wish and as to whether she wants to go back to her parental house or not.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner shall go to the police station on 11/07/2015 for recording her statement and it is submitted that after recording the statement, the complaint may be closed.

The learned Government Pleader submits that, in the event statement is given by the petitioner as is stated in the writ petition, there is no reason for proceeding with the complaint and the complaint shall be closed.

In that view of the matter, we close this writ petition recording the aforesaid submissions.
