The wife of the petitioner has been advised to undergo Angioplasty (CAG + REVASCULARISATION) by the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology. The petitioner can only lay his lands on the pensionary benefits to meet the expenses for treatment. The petitioner contends that there is arrears in the disbursement of pension for the period from October, 2014 to March, 2015. The petitioner also asserts that the monthly pension has not been disbursed for the months of April, May and July 2015. This is a fit case where the departure from the usual practice is warranted in the disbursement of pensionary benefits to a retired employee.
2. I direct the respondents to disburse the amount found due as above to the petitioner on or before 31.7.2015.
The amount can be paid by Cheque/Demand Draft either to the petitioner or to the
W.P (C) No.19879 of 2015 Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram.
The Writ Petition is disposed of.
