J U D G M E N T
The petitioner had sought for being relieved from the University, wherein he was working as an Assistant, to join an employment as Lecturer. The petitioner was initially granted a relieving order without retaining a lien, in the post he held in the University. The petitioner was before this Court seeking grant of lien. While so, the University made a submission before this Court that there are some adverse entries made in the service book of the petitioner. The petitioner is said to have made enquiries and received Ext.P4 Note wherein the then Vice-Chancellor had made some adverse comments. The learned Standing Counsel for the University submits on instruction that Ext.P4 is only an internal note and what is stated therein would not find a place in the service book. On the categoric undertaking of the University and on the admitted fact that the petitioner was

subsequently granted lien in the post in the University, as per the interim order issued by this Court, the writ petition would stand closed recording the undertaking.
