JUDGMENT

Challenging the lethargic attitude of the Investigation Officer in investigating the matter relating to Crime No. 966/2014 of the Mavelikara Police Station, the petitioner has approached this Court. Subsequently the Assistant Superintendent of Police could note down the lethargic attitude of the Investigation Officer in conducting the investigation. After perusing the CD, the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Chengannur has constituted a special team exclusively for the investigation of the said crime.

The Public Prosecutor has reported that the investigation is swiftly going on. By recording the statement filed by the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Chengannur,

W.P.(C). No. 20619 of 2014 this writ petition is closed. This Court expects that the concerned officers will carryout the investigation expeditiously. It is made clear that the petitioner is at liberty to approach this Court again in case any further direction is required in the matter.
