JUDGMENT

The petitioner is a citizen of India and holder of a 12 bore DBBL gun under the Arms Licence number 148/KLM. The licence was issued up to 31.11.2014. The petitioner approached the first respondent by filing Ext.P2 application for renewal of the licence in time, also remitting the requisite fee, but the same has not yet been considered so far. The prayer is to cause the same to be considered within a reasonable time.

2. In such circumstances, if Ext.P2 is received in original, the same shall be considered, after calling for a report from the District Police Chief and after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. The consideration shall be in the light of the decisions reported in Ganesh Prasad v Board of Revenue (LR) [2005 (2) KLT 645] and Chandran Nair C.

W.P(C). No.20605 of 2015 v. Additional District Magistrate, Kasaragod and others [2015 (1) KHC 351], at any rate within two months from the date of production of the certified copy of this judgment. The writ petition is disposed of.
