W.P.(c) No. 20649 of 2015 ---------------------------------------- Dated this the 09th day of July, 2015
JUDGMENT
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for the respondent, apart from perusing the record. Since the issue lies in a narrow compass, this Court proposes to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage itself.
2. Briefly stated, the petitioners, along with 1440 persons, residing in the area of the operation of the first respondent Bank, are said to have submitted applications for membership.
3. Questioning the delay in the respondent Bank considering their applications, the petitioners are said to have submitted a representation before the first respondent. Seeking expeditious disposal of the said representation by the first respondent, the petitioners have approached this
W.P.(c) No. 20649 of 2015 Court.
3. In the facts and circumstances, having regard to the respective submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for the respondent, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, disposes of the present writ petition with a direction to the first respondent to consider Exhibit P3 representation of the petitioner in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders thereon as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
