The petitioner has arrears of vehicle tax. Ext.P2 is the demand notice for the arrears from 01.07.2014 to 31.12.2014, for an amount of `83,160/-. It is also admitted that, the subsequent tax also is in arrears. The only prayer before this Court is that, the petitioner may be given instalment facility to pay the arrears of tax.

2.

The prayer of the petitioner is opposed by the learned counsel for the respondent and submits that petitioner has to pay the entire arrears.

3.

Considering the facts and circumstances, the following directions are issued:

(i) The petitioner is permitted to discharge the entire arrears in 10 instalments.

(ii) The first instalment shall be paid along with ensuing quarter. The remaining instalments shall be paid from every succeeding month onwards.

This writ petition is disposed of.
