JUDGMENT

The petitioner, a senior citizen, having retired from service in 2001 as a Salesman from the third respondent Bank, has still had his grievance unredressed concerning payment of pension. In this regard, he is said to have submitted Exhibit P5 representation before the first respondent. Seeking, inter alia, its consideration by the first respondent, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition-in 2010.

2. Though the fourth respondent, the Pension Board, has filed a counter affidavit contesting the claim of the petitioner, the learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that it will suffice if a direction is given to the first respondent to consider petitioner's representation expeditiously.

In the facts and circumstances, having regard to the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, disposes of the

W.P.(c) No. 24682 of 2010 present writ petition with a direction to the first respondent to consider Exhibit P5 representation of the petitioner in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders thereon as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. No order as to costs.
