JUDGMENT

The petitioner has come up before this Court aggrieved by the delay in considering the petitioner's application for temporary permit.

2. According to the petitioner, pending application for grant of regular permit, he has submitted an application for temporary permit in view of the existence of temporary need. For the prompt and convenient dispatch of business, the power to grant temporary permit is already delegated to the respondent and unless the application is considered and temporary permit is issued expeditiously, the very purpose of the submission of the application would be defeated; it is alleged. However, the respondent has not considered Ext.P1 application and grant temporary permit and there is total failure on the part of the respondent in performing his statutory duty. It is with this background, the petitioner has come up before

WPC No.21069/2015 2 this Court.

3. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Senior Government Pleader in the matter. Considering the nature of the relief sought for by the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P1 application submitted by the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

To facilitate an early action, it shall be open to the petitioner to produce a copy of this judgment as well as a copy of the writ petition before the respondent. Sd/-A. V. RAMAKRISHNA PILLAI JUDGE css/ true copy P.S.TO JUDGE
