JUDGMENT

The petitioner has come up before this Court aggrieved by the delay in considering the petitioner's application for temporary permit.

2. According to the petitioner, pending application for regular permit on the route between Kunjithai and Vyttila Hub, he has submitted an application for grant of temporary permit in view of the existence of temporary need, especially, during the festival season as well as admission season to various educational institutions. There is no service at present on the said route through Koonammavu, Edayar, Pathalam and Muttar Bridge and therefore, the operation of the service would be highly necessary and beneficial to the travelling public. The timing sought by the petitioner is also a vacant timing which can be allotted taking into consideration the convenience of the travelling public and such timing

WPC No.21070/2015 2 would not be objected by anyone. However, the respondent has not considered Ext.P1 application to grant temporary permit and thereby failing in performing his statutory duty. It is with this background, the petitioner has come up before this Court.

3. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader in the matter. Considering the nature of the relief sought for by the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P1 application submitted by the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

To facilitate an early action, it shall be open to the petitioner to produce a copy of this judgment as well as a copy of the writ petition before the respondent. Sd/- A. V. RAMAKRISHNA PILLAI JUDGE css/ true copy P.S.TO JUDGE
