JUDGMENT
The petitioner has approached this Court, challenging revenue recovery proceedings. The petitioner's son was a subscriber to Chit No. 39/2013 with the respondent Financial Institution. He committed default thereupon, the revenue recovery proceedings are initiated to recover the amount.
2. The only prayer of the petitioner before this Court is that he may be given an instalment facility to discharge the entire liability.
3. The learned Standing Counsel for the Kerala State Financial Enterprises-2nd respondent submits that the total liability of the petitioner is around Rs. 5,56,000/-. Considering the facts and circumstances, the following directions are issued:
i) The petitioner shall remit Rs.50,000/- on or before 20.08.2015.
ii) The petitioner is given eleven equal monthly instalments from the succeeding month onwards to discharge the entire liability.
W.P.(C).No. 21109 of 2015 iii) If the petitioner commits default in remitting of anyone of the instalments, the respondents are free to proceed against the petitioner in accordance with law.
iv) If the petitioner complies with the above directions, coercive steps initiated against the petitioner shall be deferred in tune with the above directions.
