JUDGMENT
The controversy raised in all the above writ petitions is with respect to the conduct of the College Union elections; whether it be in the Parliamentary mode or in the Presidential mode.
2. The issue is covered by a judgment of this Court in W.P.(C).No.22593 of 2008 and connected cases, in which the Colleges involved were permitted to conduct election in the Parliamentary mode.
3. The learned Standing Counsel for the University submits that, the University has also come out with a notification permitting conduct of elections either in the Presidential mode or the Parliamentary mode, as is the option of the Colleges. Resultantly, nothing survives in the writ petitions. The contentions of either parties are left open; but, however, the writ petitions would stand closed.
