JUDGMENT

This writ petition is filed seeking direction to the first respondent University to revalue the Real Analysis paper in which the petitioner has failed and the result may be published on an early date.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the University.

3. Learned Standing Counsel for the University on instructions submits that the last date for receipt of application for revaluation was 2.7.2015 and thereafter the University has got 60 days time as per the regulations to publish the revaluation result. On the other hand, the counsel for the petitioner submits that if the results are not published early, the petitioner's admission to the Post Graduate course will be in difficulties and therefore, there may be a direction to the University to publish the result on an early date.

4. The learned Standing Counsel submits that the pick and

W.P.(C). No.21544 of 2015 choose method of revaluation application is not possible in view of the centralised revaluation conducted by the University. At the same time, learned Standing Counsel submits that if an application is made by the petitioner to confidentially communicate the marks to the institute in which he proposes to pursue his Post Graduation course, the same shall be done by the University.

5. In the facts and circumstances of the case, there will be a direction to the first respondent University to publish the result of the petitioner, if possible, at an earlier date or else within the outer limit prescribed under the regulations. There will be a further direction to the University to communicate the result confidentially in the event of an application preferred by the petitioner in proper form denoting the details required for such communication.

Writ petition is disposed of accordingly with the above direction.
