JUDGMENT
This writ petition is filed by the petitioner voicing the grievance that the 1st Respondent Panchayat is refusing to grant the charges for tools provided by the workers under the 'Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act'. Pursuant to the representation made by the petitioner, Ext.P2 order was passed by the 2nd Respondent directing the Secretary of the 1st Respondent Panchayat to deposit the rental charges due to the petitioner and similarly situated persons to the bank accounts maintained by the respective workers. 2.
In view of the order I propose to pass in this matter, notice to Respondents are dispensed with. 3.
After considering the contentions raised by the petitioner and perusing Exts.P1 and P2 documents, I feel that a direction can be issued to the Secretary of the 1st Respondent Panchayat to consider the directions issued under Ext.P2 by the 2nd Respondent and comply with the same in
accordance with law, if there are no other impediments. In the event of any legal impediments standing in the way of passing such an order, Secretary of the 1st Respondent shall issue notice to the petitioner and other similarly situated persons and take a decision within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. Sd/- SHAJI P. CHALY JUDGE //true copy// P.S. to Judge St/-
